Intervals Companion app - vitals page not showing any data

Hi, i’m trying my to solve why the Intervals Companion app doesn’t show any data in the vitals page.

I downloaded the app yesterday.

Any ideas?

If your data is sourced from Strava then that might be the issue. (Intervals can’t show data that is sourced from Strava to a 3rd Party App)

I have Wahoo and Strava connected to Intervals. Which one of them has priority? Will it help if I disconnect Strava?

If you have Wahoo, those should supersede Strava and you theoretically can see the data.

to be clear, within intervals, you can see your Resting HR for example and all those?

if you can and only on the app you can’t suggest you talk to the developer. Else you can also verify it with My App → BreakAway: Indoor Training.

I have no idea where to find the Resting HR data to be honest - where should it be? I am not so into intervals, a beginner user. But probably I wouldn’t be able to see the data as I track resting HR with my Apple Watch.

Ah… in that case, if it’s not in intervals.icu, then it’s likely y you’re not seeing it.
Possibly try the GUIDE sections.

For Apple Health metrics, you will need to use a 3rd Party app (healthFit, RunGap I think, BreakAway) to sync the metrics to intervals first.

Okay, thank you, I already have the RunGap. I have just downloaded your BA app. I am just worried that if I do something wrong, my activities will be duplicated in intervals. Like if I connect RunGap with apple watch and/or Wahoo the data will be imported from Apple to RunGap/BA and then imported by RunGap or BA to intervals again.

Duplicate Activities are pretty easy to spot and delete (using list view) and noting the activity Source

BreakAway currently do not (yet) import any Apple Watch activities (working on it). I don’t know how RunGap works, but if they have any filtering capabilities that would be helpful.

Hello - creator of the Intervals Companion app here.

The assessment above is correct. If the data is not showing in intervals.icu then it won’t show in the app either, including readiness and sleep scores. I don’t calculate these. The current integrations that send wellness data can be seen in the intervals.icu/settings, or you can use HealthFit to sync some of the values from an Apple Watch as well.

The next update will have a weight graph, and the graphs on the vitals screen will support drag and drop so the order can be changed.

My swim data is not shown on the companion app. I see it on the intervals.icu web though.
The data is captured from my form goggles and synced through strava

Your issue is an easy to pinpoint. But not easy to fix.

You could do what @Wazc23 is doing

Form Googles Web → Download FIT → Save to DropBox → Intervals.icu pulls from Dropbox

This is how you can remove Strava from the equation.

Hi. I do not find anywhere to tell your app, or in the connection with healthfit, to get vo2max from apple health. Is this not possible?

The app reads the vo2 max from the intervals api, so you will need to get it synced there first. I use the HealthFit app to automatically sync my Apple Watch/Apple Health metrics to intervals. Once that’s set up you will see the metrics at the top of the calendar days like this:

I also use HealthFit to sync wellness data, but the VO2Max datafield in the companion app does not show up (I do not see it in intervals.icu either). Is there somewhere specific I need to tell intervals.icu to get this data point from HealthFit?

I stand corrected… Vo2Max is in intervals.icu, but not in companion app.I also miss sleep score? There is a field at the top of Vitals screen that says “Sleep/Time”. Time is there, but the “Sleep” field is missing… I am guessing this should be some kind of score? Also the HRV (rmssd) is empty, where should this be pulled from? My HRV4Training app?

Unless ofcourse, the top section only shows todays data… then it makes sense.

The app will only know about data that you send to intervals, so readiness and sleep scores, hrv rmssd, etc, all need to be sent to intervals in some way first. Oura, Whoop, and maybe Garmin can sync these with intervals. Apple Watch only calculates the HRV SDNN value. The app doesn’t calculate anything on its own, it just reads the fields from the intervals data api.

The top section shows your current selection on the charts. I’ve noticed with my Oura ring, if I sync my ring to the Oura app, then load the intervals website it will trigger the data to be pulled in from my Oura account. If I don’t happen to load the intervals website, at some point during the day it will automatically sync and then become available in the iOS app. So what you see with the current day not showing values is normal, it just means you don’t have a value for that day yet, or that HealthFit hasn’t synced yet.
