Interval detection not working

Hi, I’m using Gear Tracker on Samsung Watch 5 to log my runs to Strava (although same results if uploading directly to Intervals.icu) and noticed that the intervals are never detected in the runs.

An example run is here: Intervals.icu

A very similar run a couple of days later I had some issues with my watch so asked for a friend’s FIT file since we were running together and that one shows quite a few intervals (the source here was Garmin watch)

Am I missing something or is there a reason this is not working?

I have tried changing the orded of Power/HR/Pace in the settings and re-analysing runs, think the zones are set up correctly but all I get for runs is single Recovery interval in zone 1 which seems wrong.

If the FIT from your friend´s device is working, the settings in Intervals are probably ok.
If you want Intervals to auto-detect intervals, the Use Laps button must be unchecked. If you want to use the device’s laps, it must be checked.

Check on your watch if there´s a setting that influences recording. Garmin has Smart recording (which is not working correctly), or ´every second´ which does work.
Check for something similar on your watch. You need second by second recorded data.

Use Laps is unchecked and the data logging frequency is set to 1s.

However, inspecting the FIT file manually I saw that there’s something weird happening at the end with one repeated timestamp and then the final one being 6s later:

And checking the rest of the file there are more 0s time step points:

This seems to be happenning in all of my fit files and removing those has indeed fixed the issue:

Send one of your fit files to @david and refer to this topic. Maybe he can do somthing to correctly import those files.

I had a look at the file you sent me and it imported fine? It only has one lap which was picked up as the lone interval.

it imports but after “fixing” the file it detects more than a single interval
