Hi,
I use Concept2 Skierg mainly for interval training in the autumn (no snow yet ). I use their ErgData-app or ErgZone-app to build the workouts.
Now I manually import the fit-files from C2 logbook but they appear as Alpine Ski-types. An Indoor-Ski would be best but I “convert” them to Nordic-Ski types.
Is there a planned workout type in Intervals that could be used for matching those activities? Now I can’t match my activities to planned and compare my daily efforts.
What is “Other”-type meant for? Can they be automatically paired?

I downloaded your Friday ski and uploaded it to my own profile and it showed up as “Nordic Ski”? Did you edit the fit file before uploading?
Yes, this was a failure in the c2 app. Tomorrow I will leave it as it is on C2
Steve
Now there is a 22m activity downloaded from C2 Logbook as fit.
I used ErgZone app. C2’s own ErgData does not work properly so the other one is corrupt.
BR Steve
I also have a C2 SkiErg and record the workouts using the ErgData app which uploads them to the C2 Logbook, this send them to strava and strava sends them to intervals. They appear as “Nordic Ski” workouts.
I plan workouts using the “Nordic Ski” type and they get matched.
Hi,
I use Garmin. It seems like it depends on where it comes from.
In Garmin it is a Gym workout
in Strava Nordic Ski
in Intervals it becomes Alpine Ski.
If I switch to Strava and cut the Garmin connection what should I do so I don’t mess up the whole database?
Steve
I would recommend adding Strava in addition to Garmin.
I wouldn’t disconnect Garmin.
I have both connected. Any Garmin workouts sent to strava don’t get duplicated
Garmin only sends workouts done on a Garmin and won’t transfer over 3rd party created workouts.
It works for me
Hope that helps.
Nick
I had a look at the fit file for Tuesday and it is “fitness_equipment, indoor_skiing”. I have changed the mapping for that to “Nordic Ski” (was Alpine). Hopefully that doesn’t cause any problems for anyone.
Ok, thanks.
I’ll check it out.
About the suggestion to use both Garmin and Strava connected to Intervals - are there any problems with 2 connections or just “Go and connect”?
Steve
Just “Go and Connect”.
The so called best of both worlds. (Of course if u don’t care much bout Strava segments. I’m not sure what benefit that connection brings. HOWEVER if u already have Strava connected, u can disconnect. But don’t remove else all ur historical data will be removed from intervals due to their T&C)
