Imported calendar workouts are not uploaded to Zepp

I use TrainerRoad for structured training and import my TrainerRoad calendar into Intervals.icu.
That works very well so far but I don’t see planned workouts in Zepp unless I create a new workout directly in Intervals.icu.

Problem:

  • Workouts imported from TrainerRoad are visible in the Intervals.icu calendar.
  • They do not appear in the Zepp calendar / Intervals.icu third-party training plan.
  • A workout created directly in the Intervals.icu calendar does sync to Zepp and appears correctly.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Add a workout of any type to the Intervals.icu calendar
  2. Import a TrainerRoad calendar into Intervals.icu using the TrainerRoad calendar/ICS integration.
  3. Let the Zepp integration sync.
  4. Check the Zepp calendar workouts for the week.

Expected:
All workouts should appear in the Zepp calendar.

Actual:
Only the workout created directly in Intervals.icu appears in Zepp.

Is this by design or a bug?

That’s not how it’s supposed to work. Your TrainerRoad workouts won’t be forwarded to any third party app. It’s just a visible external calendar view.

You could use some hacks like TP2intervals or maybe other third party integrations to get your workouts copied.

I think I understand. Intervals is just showing me the imported workouts on the calendar but they are not treated as regular trainings. I remember evaluation TP2intervals but it required some hacking to get your token so I think I’m going to implement something on my own. A simpler import tool to get the calendar from it’s public endpoint and create Interval workouts using the API.
I think that will sync with Zepp.
