Import data from SportTracks mobi

Trying to cut down on my subscription costs and I’ve realised the only thing I still use SportTracks for is gear tracking (a legacy from when I used the desktop version of the app). Intervals.icu imports everything else I need from Strava and does a much better job of analysing.

I see that ST sync isn’t an option under settings, so if I exported all my data from ST, is there a way that only the historical gear usage could be applied on import to Intervals.icu, or would importing all that data instead create duplicate activities for everything that included the gear tracking?

I’ve got nearly 20 years worth of data on ST so it’s a significant question! Thanks.

What format is the ST data export in? If you import activities they will replace matching Strava activities. You probably don’t want to do that if you have been analysing them on Intervals.icu.

I was planning to use Fitness Syncer for it, as I don’t think I can export the data in any reasonable way from Sport Tracks – it doesn’t seem to have that functionality.

Just updating this: I now have all the gear as 97 different items (bikes, powermeters, HR monitors, shoes, etc.) in a spreadsheet for all my activities in the past 15 years. Is there any way other than automating the website to import this data and apply it to the relevant activities in the history on Intervals.icu? My other half is doing this for me as it’s beyond my tech ability to do this kind of stuff whereas he programs stuff for a living. Thanks!

This might be time-consuming for 20 years of data enrichment hubspot, but it would ensure your gear usage is tracked in Intervals.icu. You can define your gear items and manually add them to past activities through the activity editor. There might be third-party tools or scripts that can help extract and convert specific data points like gear usage from SportTracks files. However, proceed with caution and do your research before using any third-party tools to ensure data security and compatibility. While they don’t currently offer dedicated gear import from SportTracks, you can reach out to their support team and inquire about their future plans or potential workarounds. They might be able to offer guidance or suggest alternative solutions.
