Import CSV Pairfs files

Hello, I’m trying to integrate a CSV file from a test using Pairfs Zonex for threshold estimation.

Here’s my method, which I suspect isn’t correct:
I download the CSV file from the intervals output in the data section.
I open the CSV file from the Pairfs software and extract the columns with breakdowns, etc.
I create custom streams with the exact same name as the CSV file.

And I get the message: “No custom activity stream found for column [VIn (L/min)]”.

I don’t understand where I’m going wrong.

Thank you in advance.

You need to create the ‘placeholders’ as Custom Streams first in Intervals.
Create the Custom streams and then use the exact same code-name as the column header in the csv.

Allo Bastien compliments,
Pairfs Zonex seems a interesting product (Français?), how do you compare it to Calibre Bio sensor?

Thank you for your message. I must be a complete idiot, or the error is right in front of me and I’m not seeing it, but I’m still getting the same error message.

Hello Pepe

I’ve only had the Zonex for a few days and I only did two tests this weekend.

Compared to the Calibre, it’s much simpler and less complicated to set up; there’s no calibration or need to warm up the device by charging it beforehand, unlike with the Calibre. The mask is better; it’s the classic Hans Rudolph mask (available in several sizes). Communication with the software on the computer is direct and, at first glance, stable. It’s also possible to connect to the mobile app outdoors. Calibre is only suitable for indoor use without a fan, which can distort the measurements.

The software that controls the test is very good; it manages the home trainer or treadmill. There’s a basic protocol, but you can also choose the duration of the stages and the time, as well as the power or speed increment at each stage.
As for the analysis, I think it’s good, but this needs to be confirmed with use.
What made me stop using Calibre is that I noticed the data varied depending on my breathing, and that my values fluctuated a lot for no apparent reason. And above all, there’s always the doubt about whether the device was reliable because there are often error messages during pairing.

And finally, Calibre is bankrupt and finished for now.

Yes, Pairfs is French and the company is very close to me; their service is attentive and I think responsive when needed.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask if I can answer; it will be my pleasure.

Can you select your created custom stream(s) from this dialog?

If they are selectable there, then they are created succesfully.
Download an example csv from that dialog, with your custom stream selected, and double check the csv header. Add some data in the desired column and reupload.
If all that works, then you should be able to find out why your csv is not accepted.

PS: check the csv in a pure text editor! Saving as csv in a spreadsheet may alter separators.

Thank you for the details. Seams a nice product to have.

How do you do the CSV to intervals.icu time synchronization?

Thanks, that’s great—it works now. I started over from the beginning; I think there was a problem exporting the CSV between Numbers (Mac) and Excel with the , and ;

Thanks to both of you

Another major difference is that Pairfs only measures ventilation, whereas Calibre estimates VO2max
