Hydration Level in Wellness Data

Hi, Could we introduce a Hydration Level field in the Wellness Data? Thanks, Angus.

How is that measured?

Two possible methods. Firstly a pick-list across ‘Well Hydrated’, ‘Hydrated’, ‘Dehydrated’, ‘Very Dehydrated’. Secondly, A colour chart as suggested by Armstrong which would be:

Tx. Is this something you check when you get up in the morning or before/after a ride?

In the morning. Check on how prepared/recovered I am from previous. Do it before weighing myself

I would steer clear of a urine colour chart as an indicator of hydration…

I was already leaning towards the pick list  Fits in better with the other wellness items.

I think pick-list works and does fit with the Wellness pop-up.

I have implemented hydration. You need to click fields on the wellness popup to enable it:

I had to use different labels to get it to fit. Various little water drop icons are displayed:

Since we’re already syncing wellness data from Garmin Connect. Would it be possible to sync hydration as well? I do realise mapping it to a scale from 1 to 4 might be a subjective feat, but maybe we can come up with something sensible.

I am not sure they send that to Intervals.icu. There is no mention of hydration in the API docs. I have added some logging of incoming Garmin data for you do see if anything shows up over the next couple of days.

I’m no longer seeing hydration displayed on the calendar with the other wellness data. I’m sure it used to show up there.

What’s displayed on the calendar is controlled here:

The available fields in the wellness dialog are setup here:

Ah right, I must have unchecked that at some point. Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:
