I just noticed that some of my activities have a completely wrong Threshold Pace setting (see screenshot). The odd part: I can’t seem to delete or unset the threshold value for those activities – it keeps reverting back to 30:00 no matter what I try. (–> Must be between 1s and 60m when trying to remove it from Activities Detail Page)
Any idea how to completely remove the threshold pace from these activities? Especially since these workouts don’t even have a threshold pace to begin with.
If you didn’t define the sports type in settings, it will uses the “others” category. You can’t unset that value. But you can change for example the load calculation for that sports type to prioritize HR over pace in the settings.
The sport types (Walking & Backcountry Skiing) are indeed defined, though I likely added them after these specific activities were already uploaded. Currently, they’re assigned to a profile where no Pace/Power settings are configured.
I also tried switching the sport profile to something else and then back – unfortunately, that didn’t help either. The incorrect Threshold Pace value remains stubbornly in place.
Even setting “Ignore Pace Data” doesn’t fix it – the Pace Load value still ends up completely off because it’s based on that wrong threshold.
Any other ideas on how to clean this up or force a recalculation?
I think your issue is same like mine.
changing sports doesn’t change the threshold. It will use the threshold that was defined / alry set prev on the older sport.
For me, it’s simple cos I only have 1 or 2 and now that I understand this is “the way” on intervals. You have to manually update it to reflect the correct value per the new sport / setting.
yea - manually setting is no problem - but removing it altogether isn’t possible it seems?!? As with Backcountry Skiing there is no fixed Threshold Pace I could set as it depends way too much in the environment you are in …
This is just a workaround, and you should probably delete this afterwards, but only option I see currently is to set it with a custom script or external API.
