Heartrate values only appear in the beginning and the end of activity (when I was out of water). The values during swimming activity hasn’t imported in the synchronization from garmin
GPS is probably lost under water and that causes Intervals to consider it as ´not moving´
Goto bottom of Activity page, Actions, Ignore velocity to solve that. You should then have all the data if my assumption is correct.
Does the HR for the swim part show up properly on Garmin Connect?
Same problem here.
Setting “Ignore velocity” does not help.
The HR is visible in Garmin Connect and if I export it as TCX the HR appears.
I looked at the files for your last 2 swims and I don’t see any HR data and no mention of a HRM in the device_info messages. I don’t understand where the HR data you see is coming from
is the HR data being “attached” separately? I reember there are some features from Garmin or other sport devices that can do that. Since signals can’t actually go thru water… or is it like one of those optical HR that goes on your temple?
Did you try importing the for the activity as the TCX instead of the FIT FILE?
Yes. You end up with a bunch of HR messages at the end of the file after all the records. The Java FIT SDK has a class to match these up with the records and update them so you can process the records normally.
Normally I don’t wear a strap to record the HR for the swim, but this was a competition so I had it on. Therefore I currently have only this one multisport activity on 03 Sept with HR recorded.
The activity directly imported via the connector did only show the HR when I was out of the water and moving to the transition area. Garmin Connect is showing it.
Seeing this, I deleted the activity and imported the GPX and FIT files - with the same result. Then I tried the TCX and there I had HR for the complete swim, but the remaining data looked very distorted. So I deleted it and imported the GPX again.
Please mail me (david@intervals.icu) the fit file for that activity and I will have a look.
