Heart Rate Monitor Failure

Hi there!

Firstly - huge thanks to David for your awesome site; it’s been a massive help to me in the last year through injury, loss of motivation through no races and having a tangible way of assessing fitness and rebuilding after time off. Brilliant.

Anyway, my query - on a run this morning, my heart rate monitor clearly had a bit of a meltdown in the second half of the run as my HR reading dropped from ~160 to ~130 - so either the band needs replacing or I got a lot fitter, quickly! (if only)

I can see that I can edit the workout load to keep my weekly load in the right ballpark, but is there a way discount the HR data from this workout or edit it so that it doesn’t skew data for a period of time? I think I can edit the HR reading second by second, but I probably don’t have time to do this for 45 minutes of running, unfortunately!

Hope this makes sense - no worries if this isn’t possible, but thought I’d ask the question.

Many thanks,

Andy.

Tx! You can click the “Cog” icon under the ride timeline chart and tick the “Ignore HR data” box. Or if you have an idea of what your HR should have been for the broken portion you can zoom to that part on the ride timeline chart and click “Fix Data”. Fill in the dialog something like this:

That’s fantastic - thank you! I’ll have a proper look at it this evening to fix it up :raised_hands:t4:
