HealthFit app - 30 sec. sampling rate

I’ve recently started using Intervals.icu and was looking for the best way to bring in TrainerRoad workouts. Today’s experiment was to have Garmin Connect export the workout to Apple Health, and use HealthFit to sync to Intervals. Did a short ride and waited for all the syncing, then looked in intervals.
There’s a warning at the top of the activity in Intervals about 30 second recording. This isn’t a TrainerRoad issue as the samples in the exported file are 1 second. I have no way of seeing what Garmin Connect sent to Apple, so does anyone know where the change to the sampling rate is happening?
For info: I’m trying to avoid using Strava or Dropbox as an intermediary, and ideally don’t want to dual record with my Garmin Edge, although that’s looking like the best option.

Edit: I’ve also realised that power data is missing - looks like this is a restriction on what Garmin sends to Apple Health. So probably not a viable option anyway: think I’ll stick with dual recording.

Is it TR → Garmin Connect?

if this is the path and you’re hoping for Garmin Connect to fwd the data out to another site/service, then you’re out of luck. ANything that is NOT recorded on a Garmin Device will not be fwd out to another site.

Best option is still

  1. Manual Upload to Intervals
  2. Dual Recording
  3. Use DropBox / Strava
  4. Change from TR to another app that provides direct integration to Intervals.icu

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I did some more digging, and while Garmin does share some data with Apple Health, its very lmited. Basically “wellness / fitness” things like hr and steps. Garmin tells Apple I’ve done a workout (even though its imported from TR), but won’t send GPS tracks (irrelevent here) or power, just HR.
So I’ve gone the Dropbox route and its seamless. I suppose at some point I’ll need to clear old files out of Dropbox, but it will take a while to rack up 2GB of .fit files!
At least Apple refunded the cost of the Healthfit app so that’s my first contribution to Intervals covered.
Cheers
David
