Hi. I have a training plan that I wish to load into the calendar but there isnt a guide on how to do this? Also is there a way of the application calculating appropriate training load according to fitness? I am looking to put a bespoke plan in to match my fitness and fine tune it from there.
When you are in the training plan page, you should select the atletas for that plan and you can set the starting date. Or just drag the plan into the calendar when you have the Library popup opened
Thanks Carlos but in the activities section there are no athletes. Really at the moment this is for myself. What I dont see is for example is say my fitness 50 and then I should be able to calculate a training load of 325 and expect to see a predicted increase in fitness and fatigue.
just put some workouts and the fitness chart will update showing your future fitness and fatigue
Fitness is the exponentially weighted moving average for the previous 42 days, so one workout of 325 will depend on the value it’s replacing. So you might not see any change to your fitness (blue line).
Let’s say you look at a weekend ride where many of us have time to get such a workout in, you would be replacing something you did 6 weeks ago.
You can capture planned workouts to makeup that or use the weekly targets. Click in the week summary area on the calendar:
Thanks folks. Will give it a try
Jumping in on this topic (seems the most relevant)
I can set a distance target of eg
100km for week 51, 19-25 Dec, and
500km for week 52, 26-31 Dec, but -
How would it be possible to set up for the Rapha Festive 500 “500 kilometres. Eight days. 24th-31st December”, which for 2022 will be Saturday to Saturday?
[Up to now I’ve used a clunky spreadsheet to calculate “‘km done vs km to do’ by day/ averaged”: as the challenge is purely ‘distance’.]
Here’s what I do:
- It’s a Strava challenge, so use Strava to track the progress for the distance;
- Add a note on the calendar from 24-31 December, with a plan for the week in the notes;
- Plan the weekly target distances, for both weeks, instead of trying to focus only on the 8-days. This also includes rest days. I plan the whole year at the start of the season and will build the Rapha500 into my appropriate mesocycles;
- Adjust as things change, especially as a day might be missed due to any number of reasons.
Below are the screen shots relating to how I plan it.
Thanks Gerald,
Looks like I kind of did the correct thing (I’m on the free tier of Strava): plan in intervals -
100km for Sat 24+Sun25 (week of 19-25 Dec)
500km for Mon 26-Sat 31 (week of 26-01 Jan)
Spreadsheet for the daily calculations :slight_smile
thanks again for your help,
- and good luck [everyone] with this years challenge!
