Get title from Strava and RPE from Garmin

Is there a way to get the title of the workout from the Strava Sync, but also get the the RPE and feel from Garmin? I add these two before the activity finishes, so they are in Garmin directly.

Garmin only forwards the original FIT file. RPE is entered in GC and will not be transfered.

I am actually entering the rpe and feel in the watch, before the workout is saved, that transfers nicely to intervals!

Then it works like you want?
If you also sync Strava, the title should update from there.

Thanks for the quick replies! I think why it does not work is, that it syncs from Strava first and from Garmin later and it does not overwrite the empty rpe and feel fields. Even if I hit reprocess original file.

It seems most of your rides are only from Strava i.e. no file was received from Garmin. Try disconnecting and reconnecting Garmin in /settings and see if your next activity works.

Thanks I just tried with a dummy recording and it seems to get both!

Do I understand this correctly that if I have «Download activities» active on both Strava and Garmin connections, then it will sync a “union” of the fields from both platform into intervals.icu?

Yes. The Garmin activity will be kept (so you get L/R balance and other stuff not provided by Strava) and the Strava activity deleted. Strava segments are copied to the Garmin activity.

If you have ticked the box in /settings then the name is also taken from Strava.

I ticked the boxes in both Straga and Garmin connections. I have imported the data on both for the last two days, but it looks like RPE and Feel are not imported from Garmin. So the backfilling doesn’t seem to work. I will try with new activities.

oh that’s looks cool… I would love to get the title and so forth from Strava… but I am still on the old recommendations to avoir downloading from Strava due to API limits, is it still something ? thanks

Currently it looks like all of your activities are from Strava. You can do Options and tick the “Show activity source” box to see this on the calendar. Getting history from Garmin is a bit hit and miss but future activities should come in fine.

Strava are giving out rate limit increases again and Interval.icu received a big bump so go ahead and connect both. Tx for the consideration though.
