I was checking which shoes I used in a past race and i.o. getting the name of the shoe I got a number which I cannot refer to the right shoe. I think this is happening also in other fields

You should not delete older gear, you should ‘Retire’ it.
Good point, thanks! Actually they were “Retired” not deleted. I tried and “unretire” them and they re-appeared. If possible also “retired” gear should be showed with their names in case of search among old activities.
If they were retired, I would expect them to show correctly with the name and not some placeholder.
