Garmin import data range

Is it possible to import garmin data only before a specific date?
Since I started using strava there are activities that I record separatelly on both garmin and strava so if I import garmin full data there will be duplicated activities
For instance for virtual bike rides strava gets them from mywhoosh and I also record them separatelly on my garmin watch

Dups from Strava/Garmin are very well handled by Intervals. Intervals will use activity data from Garmin and activity naming from Strava.
You should have no problem unless there´s a significant difference between the two.

Thank you! This indeed solves the problem. There is a minor issue though, which is that in my experience Garmin shows less distance on my virtual runs, but power is mostly very close. I’m not sure why that happens since my weight is the same on both Garmin and MyWhoosh, but let’s say I do a 30km ride on MyWhoosh. On Garmin, it will show as 27km. Because of that I wish Intervals actually used data from Strava :joy:. I’m not sure why that is but if anyone has a clue please let me know. When I’m doing a virtual ride I also connect Garmin to my smart trainer and record it as a virtual ride. Maybe it doesn’t have access to elevation data and that’s why the distances are different?

Distance from watch is taken from “speed sensor”. Also Flux S has “speed sensor” that can be connect to watch and you can set wheel circumference in watch. If I set same circumference as on my road bike, I got 25% less distance from watch compared to Tacx app.
My Whoosh, Tacx and another apps use only power and your weight to calculate speed IMHO. It’s virtual ride, no wind, etc… I don’t care a lot about that, I only start temporary activity on my watch because of AlphaHRV CIQ data field and I don’t save the activity from watch.
Last ride I realized, that Garmin doesn’t count training load from Tacx ride to training overview, even if the load is correctly displayed in activity. So it completely messed the metrics, like I doesn’t ride at all…

Send me PM in Czech if you want.

Mywhoosh has elevation data and calculates speed from power based on rider weight and elevation data.
Garmin device has no clue that you’re riding in a virtual world and simply uses wheel speed. Distance resulting from that is completely useless and pure BS…
You could ride 100W for an hour in your smallest gear which will result in a very short distance. But you could just as well ride 100W in your biggest gear and after an hour you would have 4 x the former distance. That’s because your trainer adjusts resistance in such a way that you feel 100W. ERG doesn’t care for wheel speed, it just adjusts resistance to result in 100W.
Compare it to riding out and back outdoor at a constant intensity but first with a strong headwind and then returning with a tailwind.
