That was the wrong conclusion you drew. The purple star appears when you have achieved an all-time or best season value (best power over a certain duration). This has nothing to do with Zwift. Until now, this probably meant a new personal best for you: purple star on intervals + new FTP on Zwift. Only if you now achieve a new FTP on Zwift, it doesn’t have to be a best power on Intervals.
However, you can start a new season in the settings. Then the best power for this season will be “reset” and you can collect new purple stars, even if the best power is lower than the all time best power
Whoops - my bad.
It’s been that long since I had a purple i got mistaken. I’ve reset the season as suggested and I’m seeing the purple stars for the best of season (sooooo much lower than last season )
But - it’s still the ftp increase that aren’t showing.
I reset my ftp to a low number before i restarted this season so I expect I’ll be getting a few more over the next few weeks.
I’ll keep an eye out and report back.
But thanks for the reply and advice
The red star is only coming if your activity FTP is higher than your eFTP (! Not FTP).
So if your eFTP is still higher as your current “real” FTP, you don’t get the red award
At the moment I think there is no way to manual reduce your eFTP.
Boom.. you’re spot on, just checked. eFTP is indeed higher than my ftp..
So, all i need to do to see the little red dot of pain is to increase my ftp enough to overtake my eftp
