Hello everyone,
I’ve been a more than happy intervals user to track my cycling fitness.
In the last couple of months, I started also to do some running. However, running seems to decrease my overall fitness (I guess to do the shorter training sessions).
I’d like to know if this is normal or I need to change something in the settings.
For example, a 43-minute VO2 Max training only has a Load of 53, and on that day my overall fitness decreased from 83 to 82, as well as fatigue and form decreased, despite I was half dead in the evening. My form also went from optimal to grey zone.
My HR training load setting is already set to HRSS.
Any tips?
Thank you!
Luca
I get more accurate results (to subjective feeling) when I have set my running threshold pace correctly and use running pace derived training load. What load do you get for pace? You can check this under the activity when you press the load number.
Thanks for your reply!
My running threshold pace is correctly set up.
The load pace is indeed higher than the heart rate load. You suggest using this one instead? Do you know how to make the change?
Thanks a lot!

Go to settings → Run tab → Training Load Priority.
Glad I could help out
Ah nice! I did change it in the past to Power, HR, Pace but as my watch doesn’t measure Power, it was using HR indeed. I have now changed it to Power, Pace, HR so it’ll use Pace. Thanks a lot!
Time for a new watch soon, curious to see if there are any differences in Load using Power!
