Email Notifications Change to More Appropriate Sender

Hey David,

Whenever a coached athlete or I send messages between each other, the sender is david@intervals.icu.

This is a bit creepy and non-professional. Definitely makes me not want to use the messaging functionality you have worked so hard to build.

I would change this to something neutral, such as messages@intervals.icu, and I would change the imae logo to the platform logo. That would make it so much more intuitive and my clients would be less creeped out!

Best,
Nitsih

Good point. Will fix.

Personally I really enjoyed that sense of community from getting messages from @david :face_with_hand_over_mouth: I know they’re automated but it’s that kind of Jedi mind tricks that many use as a kind of motivation… I’m now checking my emails for emails from intervals post ride before checking Strava achievements

Ah apologies, in messaging, yes @Nitish_Nag is probably right … but it looks like that change has carried over to post ride emails too

Yes I decided to go ahead and change it. It will also make “reply-via-email” easier to implement in future.

Did you see the Intervals.icu logo on the sender (messages@intervals.icu)?

No, the logo is missing in my Gmail now.

Hey david! the new emailing system seems to work now! Would look a touch more polished if the logo of intervals is on the email instead of the ghost person. Dont know how hard that is to implement, but your face was there previously as the logo icon. Thanks so much for the rapid responses!

Tx. The messages@intervals.icu account does have the logo as a profile picture and “edit photo” has been enabled for my GSuite account. I don’t know why it isn’t being displayed even in Gmail. It might be a caching issue that will come right after a while :frowning:
