eFTP giving wrong results

Wondering how eFTP works with long intervals (tl;dr: I did a 1h15 moderate)
My eFTP updated today “FTP +5 to 251w from 1h15m at 250w”.
This was a TR “Moderate” difficulty (but my 1h and 1h15 record), with HR at 147 (my max being 173, and Threshold HR 157 - feels accurate). I probably could have gone for at least another 30min, so I’m suprised that the estimated FTP (which I presume should be max power for 1h) wasn’t higher.
I use FTP 272 and TR AIFP is showing 276, both values feeling certainly in a better ballpark than 251.
am I missing shorter / high powered intervals for a better duration (I’m week 9 of a 12 week high volume sweet spot work, where I’ve only done sweet spot and endurance).

It’s not really meant to try guess anything from an interval that long. The curves won’t be very good out to that duration because not many people do max efforts of 1h15 :slight_smile:

I see, thanks! I guess I hadn’t properly read the part that said “max effort”!
