I haul my kids to school and run errands on an e-bike (Surly Big Easy). I like to track the mileage using Strava, and generally use my Suunto Trainer HR watch. I’ve been categorizing as e-bike ride and commute but I believe the rides are still be factored into my Fitness chart.
Is all Strava activity with HR being assessed a “load” and factored into the fitness chart?
Putting aside the concept of how an e-bike ride might affect my fitness, which is probably a topic for another day, if I am trying to exclude them from my fitness chart, what is the best way to do that?
It is calculating training load for those from the HR data. You can control how each activity type contributes to fitness in /settings. Add an entry for “E-bike ride” and change the fitness (and maybe also fatigue) factors to 0 and they will disappear from the fitness chart. It will take a little time for everything to update.
Fantastic! Those rides were reallllly influencing my numbers (about 25% of my fitness). I assume I can then fine tune the amount of fitness and fatigue those activities generate since it is something.
