Duplicates caused by Suunto sync

Every time I record a ride on Wahoo, a duplicate shows up the day after with the activity synced from Suunto. The original (Wahoo) activity does get linked successfully with the one on Strava, but somehow not with Suunto.
This issue only occurs with activities that are not recorded on Suunto. My runs, which I record on Suunto don’t get duplicates and do get linked to the Strava activity without any issue.

i think Im confused. Can you do a simple digram?
I’m thking this has got to do w/ one of these platforms not fwding out data which isn not recorded by their own hardware

Could be. I don’t exactly get what you mean by diagram, but here’s exactly how it goes:

  • I upload a ride to Wahoo and Strava. This activity shows up as one on Intervals.icu.
  • Usually the day after, the ride shows up a second time Intervals.icu and it’s also synced to the Suunto app. In the duplicate, with slightly different values, mainly for elevation and cadence (probably including/excluding zeroes differently there). This activity only contains a link to the activity on Suunto.

What is the source of Suunto?

If I am not mistaken, it won’t recognize duplicates from Wahoo and Suunto (only Strava), so I would suggest to disable (filter out) Suunto (Ride) downloads

Oh, that would make total sense. Might be something worth adding in the future then, but for now I’ll have to delete them manually. Thanks for the suggestion, didn’t know about that.
