Duplicated Events in Google Calendar

I synced my Intervals.icu calendar to Google Calendar which worked fine however I’ve just added two of my Google Calendar’s to Intervals.icu and it seems that it has then sent those events back to my Google Calendar and duplicated them.

So I have my personal calendar events in my Google Calendar once from the actual event created in Google itself but then also again from the Intervals.icu Calendar.

This happened to me too but it was not doing it until sometime in the last day or so. It’s annoying because now events from a calendar that I share to intervals show up on my main calendar as being from intervals. I want them to be separate so I can color code appropriately.

The blue events are intervals and the gray ones are from my other calendar (my wife’s events). The blue “lift” and “run” shouldn’t be there because they aren’t part of my intervals events but they are from an external calendar that I just shared to Intervals. The only workaround for now is to not share external calendars to Intervals, but I’d really like to see some external calendars on my Intervals calendar if possible.

Hi @david,

Is it possible to handle this on the backend by either preventing external calendar events from being included in the outbound Intervals calendar feed, or filtering them out during export?

That way, when we sync external calendars (like Google Calendar) into Intervals.icu to view our full schedule, Intervals won’t re-export those same external events back out, avoiding the loop and duplicated entries.

Thanks!

Is there any way I can contribute to this? Would a simple option/check to completely disable importing events from external calendars do the trick? I’m totally fine not creating workouts outside Intervals if it prevents them from looping back.

Having this same issue, anything that can be done about this? Thanks :folded_hands:
