Duplicate Workouts

I use TrainerRoad for planning all my workouts. Most of them are cycling workouts for indoor training. In intervals.icu that that works fabulously with the TrainerRoad-Calendar import. I see them planned and as soon as I complete the workout I see them completed (Most of the time it takes a whole day until the duplicate disappears tho). Awesome so far.

With WeightTraining workouts it doesn’t work as well. Like the cycling workouts I plan them in TrainerRoad. Usually I add my planned exercises into the description. After I completed the workout I add sets, reps & weight to the description in TrainerRoad to keep track about it and mark it as “done”. Unfortunately the workout in intervals.icu doesn’t update the description. And it doesn’t get marked as done neither. I also tried to make a similar manual workout in strava with the same name, to get it marked as done. But that doesn’t work. Can you help me with that?

How do you delete duplicates? Whats the logic behind it? Workouts with the same name? Which one gets chosen? etc.

Ah! Right now I see that naming the strava-workout exactly the same as the TrainerRoad workout deletes the TrainerRoad duplicate from the activities view. Nice. But that means I loose my description from TrainerRoad.

Hm. Is there a way to add the description from the TrainerRoad workouts to the completed strava-workouts as soon as it gets detected as a duplicate? I think that would also be useful for cycling workouts. What do you think?

If you click the “refresh” button next to the calendar in “Options” then it should update the description in Intervals.icu to match TR.

The parser looks in the TR name to figure out what type of activity it is. If this matches the type from Strava then it should link them up and consider the activity to be completed. Intervals.icu always needs an activity from Strava.

Using the planned description is a good idea for activities without anything much in the description.

Cool. Maybe you can put that on your to-do-list.

It could also be helpful, if the strava-description is visible in intervals.icu
