Duplicate Intervals.icu Activities Referencing Same Strava-linked Activity

This morning, I did a Zwift Activity (Group Ride) that Zwift sync’s in the following fashion:

Zwift → Intervals.icu

Zwift → Strava

Intervals.icu manifested TWO activity references for the Zwift Activity.

First, the Zwift one:

Zwift → Intervals.icu

The Intervals.icu activity:

https://intervals.icu/activities/i155388497

This activity is caused by Zwift syncing to Intervals.icu, and it references the following “Source” links:

Zwift: The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App

Strava: Zwift - Group Ride: HCC Wellness ride p/b Pinarello (D) | Strava

Second, another Intervals.icu activity was generated, but this one is only related to the Strava activity as the Source (the same one linked above). This one is caused by:

Strava → Intervals.icu

The Intervals.icu activity:

https://intervals.icu/activities/18837526561

This activity is caused by the reference to Strava, the same link as the Strava link within the first activity was provided as the Source:

https://www.strava.com/activities/18837526561

I have never seen this happen before, but for some reason, it happened with this activity instance.

Thanks, I searched “Zwift” and duplicate and all sorts of other stuff to not find this in the FAQ. I much appreciate it.

It’s the first time I had seen it so I thought it better to report.

The only thing I can think of is that I stopped the ride, about 20 minutes elapsed before I saved the ride, even though I had not moved. It might have caused enough disparity between Zwift and Strava, with Zwift being the source into both Intervals.icu and Strava.

It was the first entry of the post (Strava and any other source)
Seems reasonable that Strava is using moving time, while zwift may use elapsed time, so the files could be slightly different.

Just in case it happens again, please show screenshots of the summaries that may help to understand the root cause of such behaviour

I’ve seen duplicate activities from Zwift/Strava, for the first time. Looks like time etc identical
