Does the fitness/CTL calculation use non-cycling training load?

Hi, I cannot figure this out. 2 questions:

  1. Is Intervals using my non-cycling training load as part of the calculation of fitness/CTL?
  2. My understanding is that the load for non-cycling activities (or activities for which power meter data is unavailable) is based on HR using a TRIMP-like methodology. When a estimated load is calculated for these activities, load is listed as zero followed by a parenthetical with the estimated load. For example, for running with estimated load of 65 the display shows 0 (65). Is the 65 counted toward weekly load and the CTL/fitness calculation? What is with the parenthetical?

Thanks.

Many people do activities that do not add to cardio fitness (e.g. weight training) while wearing a HR monitor. Intervals.icu has configurable settings for how much those contribute to fitness and fatigue. You can control this in /settings:

When this kicks in the original load is shown in brackets e.g. “0(65)”. So the load was 65 but was reduced to zero contribution to fitness.
