I’m a big fan of custom running nutrition mixes using sugar, maltodextrin, fructose, sodium citrate, that kind of thing, and dosing specific mixes for specific workouts depending on intensity and duration. I got tired of dosing ingredients into a measuring cup and then transferring everything into a soft flask, so I built this little stand to dose directly into the flask.
It’s just a clamp mounted on a piece of plywood that holds the soft flask upright on my coffee scale. Pop a funnel on top and I can weigh out each ingredient precisely without the flask tipping over or needing a third hand. Pull up the recipe on my phone, go down the list, tare between each ingredient, add water, and done.
Simple build, nothing fancy, but it’s one of those things that makes the prep routine so much smoother. The whole process takes a couple minutes now instead of being a messy two-step transfer.
