I, as a user of intervals.icu, would really like to be able to set different date ranges per sub-tabs of the fitness page. I wish to be able to flip back-and-forth between a “zoomed in” date-range focusing on the recent weeks and a “zoomed out” view, say on ATP level, without waiting for reloading the whole chart.
For example, I have an annual main event (a 315km exercise-race on bike), for which I have the training period ca. October -June (the race is always in mid-June).
Say, for may next race in 2025, I wish to compare my progress between 2024 October and “today” with my progress between 2023 October and 2024 June. On the other hand, in the spring of 2025 the comparison period grows so long that it is hard to observe the daily progress.
I am looking for something that TrainingPeaks has for a very long time now: the fitness chart shall be a chart objexct, deployable at multiple (different) instances into different windows, with independent individualized date-ranges. Currently the fitness chart is a singleton and deployed as a window, which is fundamentally wrong, IMHO.
While not ideal, have two screens works. I compare a lot of seasonal data like this. Not mobile view but on the laptop. The popular periods are also included in the bubbles for quick date range changes. (bottom image)
