Compliance to plan for distance based swimming workouts

For some of my swimming workouts, the compliance to plan is completely off, both for the workout and for the week. All of the workouts are distance-based, and I do not provide an expected pace but the calculated time seems reasonable.

This week I have planned four workouts, of which I completed one
today (in accordance with the plan). The compliance for today’s workout is 91% which is as expected (I was slightly faster than anticipated by intervals.icu). But my compliance to plan for this week is 9100%, which is obviously way more than expected (and exactly off by a factor of 100…).

Two weeks ago I also planned four workouts, for three of the four workouts the compliance to plan was as expected. But for one of the workouts, the compliance was 9400% (which could once again be a factor of 100) even though I completed the workout as planned. The total compliance for this week was 37500% (once again suspiciously close to a factor of 100).

So it seems that under some circumstances the compliance to the plan is wrong, probably by a factor of 100.

The issue is that your swim workouts don’t have any load calculated for them. You need to format them a little differently and include the pace for each step.

You have:

Warm Up 600:
 - 400 meters Kraul
 - 200 meters Brust

You need to change that to:

Warm Up 600:
 - Kraul 400 meters 90% Pace
 - Brust 200 meters 80% Pace

I don’t know what would be reasonable % of pace for these steps! When you get it right the skyline chart will fill in based on your swim threshold pace and training zones and duration and load will be calculated for the workout:

Do I always need to include a pace for every step? Especially for drills, I am not interested in the pace.

It seems like a pace of 2:00/100 is assumed for the calculation of the time, which is close enough for me and would suffice for the load calculation. Otherwise, it would be nice to get an warning message or at least to handle the missing load somewhat reasonably (i.e. ignore it).

The workout builder assumes power if there is no pace or HR indicator. I need to think about maybe changing that to default to pace at least for swims …
