Completed Ride not showing on Activities page

Hi - sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else, I did search but couldn’t find anything

I have a ride this morning that shows up in the fitness graph and I can click through to the activity from there:

But it does not show up on the Activities page, which just shows Pettit from TrainerRoad:

There’s something weird going on with the load total on the left, in that it doesn’t add up to the total of the activities showing in the calendar - the total seems to be including the 18TSS from the commute as a replacement to Pettit, but still showing Pettit on the Activities page as an uncompleted ride. So it seems like some issue with the display on the activities page?

I am only really interested in having the small amount of load included (there will obviously be an equivalent commute this evening), but I am confused as to what’s going on.

Thanks

Trying to understand what’s going on here. The Pettit on March 29 is a planned workout, not yet completed. The morning ride showing on the fitness page is probably flagged as a commute?
If so, do you have Commutes checked to show on the calendar? “Options - Include commutes” is a config available on both calendar and fitness page but isn’t necessarily checked on both…

Ah - I think it is the show commutes option thanks - what’s weird is I have got stacks of commutes already showing up in Intervals, so it didn’t occur to me. E.g., both of these are marked as commutes in Strava but still show up in Intervals:

The only thing I can think is I changed most of them to Commute in Strava retrospectively, probably after they synced to Intervals. Whereas this mornings was recorded in the app and set as a commute before I saved it. So presumably Intervals doesn’t see the status change if you do it retrospectively. Possibly unless you choose to re-sync the ride?

No, Intervals isn’t checking for changed files. The status at import is what is logged. Keeping track of changes would cost way too much API calls on Strava.

Yeah, that makes sense. Normally if it’s come off my Garmin it has synced to Strava and is already on Intervals well before I have looked at it. I have recorded a lot of these shorter ones off the app before though and don’t remember them not showing, so I assume I must have done those retrospectively as well. Weird that I have not had it before anyway.

Strava doesn’t notify Intervals.icu when the commute setting is changed. I used to do a Strava poll to pickup changes like this but I had to make that a “supporters only” feature to reduce Strava rate limit usage. You can still use the “Download Old Data” button in the Strava block in /settings to get the updates.
