Commutes not flagging

My commute is a short ride recorded on my Garmin watch that is not being automatically flagged appropriately on Intervals.

My understanding of my workflow is;

  1. Ride recorded on Garmin →
  2. Garmin uploads automatically to Strava →
  3. file is intercepted by ActivityFix and marked as a commute and “muted” →
  4. Intervals.Icu then picks up the activity from Strava.

The issue I’m having is every time a commute ride is imported into Intervals, I have to manually check it off as being a “commute”, even though its already flagged as that on Strava.

Am I missing a step somewhere?

Intervals.icu is getting the activity as soon as it has been uploaded to Strava and before ActivityFix changes it. Strava doesn’t provide a notification when the commute flag on an activity is updated.

You can use the “Download old data” button in the Strava box in /settings to fix the activities. For supporters a poll like this happens automatically when you visit the site but I can’t do that for everyone (rate limit concerns).
