I have one particular activity that I changed the name of the activity and marked it as a race however when I log out and log back in it always reverses the name back to morning ride. I have tried to rename it multiple times. Any idea what is happening? I have noticed there are more than one activities that revert to ‘morning ride’ when I exit the page and return.

Aha. That activity is from Garmin Connect but also from Strava. Intervals.icu tries to keep the name and race flags in sync with Strava which is why it is getting reset. If you follow the “Strava” link on the activity and change it there, then return on Intervals.icu and click the refresh button on the calendar it should update after a bit.

I have changed the activity name on Strava and it did update on intervals.icu however; my default is always to update the activity name on intervals.icu moreso than on Strava… and I never have encountered this issue before… I am now trying on intervals to mark the activity as ‘race’ but it reverts when I refresh
You need to make it a race on Strava as well. I made a change fairly recently to try to keep activities for supporters more in sync with Strava.
oh okay, I became a supporter only recently. I really love this website it is unbelievable and nothing else like it !! So are you saying that all activity names need to be updated through Strava and cannot just be edited on intervals?
One other thing, have you thought of turning the program into a phone app? I would gladly pay to use it!
One of the brilliant things about the website is it is fully responsive on mobile browsers. I just add the website to my home page and then use it as an ‘app’ this way. I know David has comments before that keeping an app up to date across multiple platforms would be very hard

You can edit them on Intervals if the activity is from Strava. The problem is when the Strava activity has been replaced with one from Garmin or somewhere else, then Intervals will update the name and some other settings to match Strava but doesn’t update Strava when you edit the Garmin one. I should probably make that work.
Yes I have but decided not to for now. The web app does work on phones and adding iOS and Android apps would be a lot of ongoing work. Rather put the effort into the web platform which works everywhere.

I have fixed the editing issue. Editing the name, description, race, commute, trainer and activity type fields for an activity not from Strava but linked to a Strava activity will now update the Strava activity on Strava as well. Activities linked to a Strava activity have Strava link:
What do you mean by an activity from Strava or Garmin? I thought all of the activities pull through from Strava to Intervals?
I really liked the function of being able to edit the name of an activity and label as race directly on Intervals without it affecting labeling on Strava, very disappointed that it now changes the name on Strava is there no way you can reverse this!?
Intervals.icu gets activities from all configured sources. It resolves dups in favour of non-Strava activities because those have L/R balance and other stuff that Strava doesn’t pass on.
I can’t reverse the change or your local edits will get undone by incoming changes from Strava (the original reason for this thread). I will add an option to disable Strava sync for non-Strava activities. Most people name things nicely for Strava (because of the social angle) and don’t worry otherwise which is why I didn’t built the option in the first place.
I added a checkbox. Untick this to stop Intervals.icu from keeping Strava activities in sync with matching non-Strava activities (name, race flag, commute etc.).
