Why am I unable to add distance to a running race, or is it that I have not discovered this feature?
I had a similar question here: Clarification Regarding Race Events
And the answer back then was, it’s difficult.
What I do:
Just add the race empty with no load and do a workout as well that has the “specs” you need.
Then after the race, pair the activity with the race and delete the planned workout. It’s a bit redundant but it works for now.

Currently you need to include the distance in the name or description of the race.
