I have downloaded a series of great courses on trainerday (including class schedules, in csv or ics format), can I import these files directly so that I can quickly create future courses?
Please send me one of those in csv and ics format so I can have a look. Tx.
You can push the entire plan to IntervalsICU which is much simpler but requires a paid trainerday account.
Hi, I couldn’t find your email address, so I’m replying to the dropbox file sharing link in the post
Will trainerday add running and swimming classes to the schedule in the future? I have many partners who need classes that involve heart rate, power, and pace. Very much looking forward to it!
Hi Hugh, yes I have been moving a little slow until I have felt that I have a solid workout sharing platform for cyclists before moving to other activites, but we are wrapping up some final bigger features for cycling and then it makes a logical next steps to add other activity types for working sharing. So we don’t move at light speed like David does but I could see this happening this fall/winter. I don’t think it should be hard or take too long but need to give it a bit more time to make sure.
The trainingpeaks store sells a ton of training programs for about $25-$99, and of course the coaches on there are excellent, even Olympic coaches! Perhaps $99 is quite cheap for sports fans in developed countries, but I’m from China and many people still find $99 expensive. If trainday can provide quality paid programs (e.g. $25 for a 16+ week triathlon program), I believe this segment of our population would be more than happy to accept.
Thanks for your insights. My and I am sure David’s goals are for serving this underserved market. Even though I am from the US as a consumer I still want lower priced options. We will be offering more paid plan options soon but only cycling focused. After we add the sharing for other sports we will consider adding paid multi sport options.
