It depends on the reached trust-level here on the forum…
Editing older posts and changing the order of posts in a topic for example are rights that come with a level of activity on the forum. I think those rules are set by the forum hosting company.

Have you tried logging out and back in?

yeah, just did that, tried with incognito mode, still no pencil :frowning:

Only other option I can think of is that the forum software setup can limit the number of edits over a certain time limit, or the time that a post can be editable.
