When I do very short workouts (e.g. separate warmup) then the calculated load seems way too high.
The screenshot below is from last night. The regular run (42 mins mainly in Z5) shows a normal load of 92. But the warmup and the cooldown (in Z2) were each around 10 mins and show a load above 50 each. I would expect the load of warmup and cooldown to be around 15, not >50.
I checked my history and indeed it’s the same for similar situations in the past: the very short runs have very high loads. (I only record HR, not power by the way.)
Could I have a personal setting somewhere causing this?
Below are my zone settings. I don’t care too much about the absolute Load figure. But a 10-minute warmup in Z2 having a load more than half of 42 minutes in Z5 is messing with my trend analysis.
Would be great if you could spot my wrong setting!
Running 42 minutes at LTHR (and above LTHR in last 10 minutes) is not impossible, is it?
My LTHR value of 150 comes from Garmin’s auto-calculation. Last 20 minutes of all-out run: average HR was 153 bpm. So I guess I should manually increase LTHR to 153.
