Cadence in workouts?

Is it, or can it be possible to input high cadence intervals in a workout that are not power specific?

You can add a step that has just a cadence target (use “Add Step” button). There is support for that on Garmin devices but I haven’t tested it at all.

The other way would be to add a power target with wide range and just specify the cadence in the note for the athlete (“110 cadence”). Don’t use “110 rpm” as that will be interpreted by the workout parser.

Any ideas on how to get it to work on Wahoo ELEMNT? So far I’ve tried a few options but all of them return with some sort of wonkiness:

  1. “-5m 100 rpm” will just return w error of something like “wahoo upload failed”, and it won’t give anything on the head unit regarding cadence instructions
  2. add a step with cadence target: it won’t show any cadence instructions on the headunit even if I can bypass the “upload failure” with a power range
