[Bug Report]: Inconsistency for ride length

Hi David,

Let’s start with the obvious: Thanks a lot for a great tool. Intervals.icu is fantastic for data analysis !

I encountered a bug with some of my indoor rides.
Yesterday I rode for ± 1h15 minutes and all the timeseries graphs (for HR and power) nicely show a ride that is 1h15 long.

However, looking at the total duration of the ride, it ends up at 47 minutes and more importantly, my “time in zones” only adds up to 47 minutes.

It is the second time that I have encountered this.

Some context that could possibly explain this problem:

  • When recording this ride on my Wahoo, I might have forgotten to put it in ‘Indoor mode’
  • The combination of my Wahoo with my Direto X indoor trainer results in totally unrealistic speeds of 120-190 kmh

Thanks for having a look

This is the typical result if you forget to turn of GPS indoors because Intervals uses moving time. The solution is to ignore ´velocity´ in the Actions - Settings menu, bottom of the activity page.
It´s not a bug, it´s a user error and comes up regularly on the forum.

Hi,

Great, works like a charm !

I can agree that this is not a bug, but a user-error, but appearanly a frequent one.
In the ideal world, intervals.icu would detect the inconsistency and propose this fix itself. That avoids all users having to come to the forum

However, I am happy to have my problem fixed

Alternatively you can strip away the location data with gotoes.org and re upload the file
