I have for some time now had repeating problems with the kilometer count for gear, components and reminders. Every now and then, it resets by itself, sometimes all the way to 0, sometimes to other numbers - as if it has lost some rides. It happens mainly on my “Aeroad/35” bike, but also on other bikes, but not as often.
One example to illustrate: I swapped chains on Aug 6th both physically and in intervals. I did a reset on the counter in the reminder for the chain in question.
On Aug 10th I noticed that it hadn’t updated correctly. I removed the gear completely from all rides in the period Aug 6-10th, did a reset of the reminder, updated the total kilometer count for the chain (which was a bit off - I have a separate counter in Trainingpeaks to check against), and reapplied gear to these rides. The chain reminder then said 49km as it should.
Today it only shows 42.95km…
If I remove and reapply gear to these rides, without resetting the reminder, ut only shows 12km
If I remove gear, reset reminder and reapply gear, it finally shows 49km as it should, ref the count in “totals” which is always correct when I filter it correctly
Sometimes even the third step here wont help and I have to create a new, parallell, reminder, reset that one, and then reapply gear…
I also notice now that the total kilometer count for the chain is a bit off again;
vs. Trainingpeaks:
And while writing the above, the reminder has doubled to 98km all by itself it seems…
In addition; I know I updated the total counts for the bikes last year. Now the Aeroad/35 is completely off vs strava. Aeroad/55 (same frame, different wheels) is still correct.
