Bodyweight / Strength workout syntax for Garmin sync

Hi everyone,

I regularly use intervals.icu to plan my cycling workouts using the text-based syntax, and I sync them automatically to my Garmin Edge, where I can follow them live during the ride.
This workflow works perfectly for cycling workouts.

I noticed that Garmin devices also support Strength / Bodyweight workouts , and that in intervals.icu it’s possible to create a workout with activity type Body Weight Training . However, I can’t find any documentation or examples about a text syntax equivalent to cycling workouts that would allow:

  • writing a bodyweight/strength workout in text form inside intervals.icu
  • syncing it automatically to Garmin
  • having the workout structured and usable on the Garmin device (steps, durations, reps, rest, etc.)

So my questions are:

  1. Is there a supported text syntax for Bodyweight / Strength workouts in intervals.icu, similar to cycling workouts?
  2. If yes, where can I find documentation or examples?
  3. If not, is there a recommended workaround (e.g. limitations on what Garmin accepts, or a different way to structure these workouts)?

My goal is to manage both cycling and bodyweight training from intervals.icu and have them seamlessly available on my Garmin device, without manually recreating workouts in Garmin Connect.
