Bibliothek workout import structure fails

I have a project, where i create fit files for performance testing. It’s a structured workout which has sections of warmup, max efforts, restperiods and so on… the max efforts sections have a time but not a watt or pace to follow as it is a max effort, open or free.

Intervals loads the files with the importer, but all free sections are replaced by Z1 efforts instead of free or open. It looks like the file itself is fine, but gets changed by intervals.icu bibliothek importer. Any idea?

An ‘Open’ step in Intervals means no fixed duration. But Intervals always expects a target for intensity.
I suggest to set the highest zone as target.

it has a duration fix 20 seconds or 3 minutes or 6,9 and 12 minutes but no fixed power for bike or pace for run… so when i do the workout/test it lets me free choose the power on a trainer in example… it’s like cutting the erg mode of… and on a run test, it let me run for the time freely without giving me a pace or speed for those segments. In between there are recovery parts and warmup and cooldowns which might have a percentage or zone, but not in the max test sections..duration is always given

Like I said, you can’t do that in Intervals. An intensity target is required. Open or free intensity target in Intervals does not create a valid step.
That’s because without it, Intervals can’t calculate a load.

The fixed durations end up in an intensity Zone if max effort is intended. Neuromuscular, Anaerobic, VO2, Threshold…

EDIT: what you can do is define a Power or Pace target which is unrealistically wide. Like 20-500% for example. That does create a valid step. But be aware that Load and Intensity numbers are way off.

i remember Training peaks could do this and send a valid workout to my watch or edge or TPV … i think this is something which should be possible in the future
