Hi there - just completed a 7.4 mile run and for some reason the 10k best effort isn’t showing up. I’ve tried reprocessing and reanalyzing and turning GAP on and off, as well as deselecting 10k as a best effort and then reenabling it, but it just keeps showing no 10k best effort. Any idea what’s going on?
There is something strange with that file. If you download the activity streams CSV from the activity data page you can see that the distance “resets” and this is throwing things off:
If you zoom to show the whole activity up until just before that point (10.3 km or so) and then to Actions → Crop then it comes right. You do loose that last part though.
I suspect it’s because I used FitFileTools to combine two workouts, my run ended prematurely on my watch so I immediately started a new run and then merged the files with FitFileTools. That appears to be where the first run ended and the second began. The first run was already over 10k though so I didn’t think that would have interfered with a best effort 10k calculation, if cropping fixes it though then it appears it does.
This is the first time I’ve done that so it’s not a common occurrence, I just would have thought FitFileTools would have been able to handle that.
Any way for me to fix that on my own? Maybe just add the final distance from the first run to the second run’s distances in the CSV and reupload? The 10k isn’t a PR or anything but I do like having good data so if it’s easy to fix I will!
It’s also odd that even though distances start over, the total distance is accurate.
