Avg L/R balance from secondary power meter?

When I ride on indieVelo, my Tacx Neo 2T is the primary power meter, and it has no L/R balance information. However, my Favero Assioma Duos are the secondary power meter, and they do have L/R balance information.

Currently, it appears that intervals.icu will only display Avg L/R balance from the primary power meter. Could we get the option of displaying that field from the secondary power meter?

Why don’t you use your Favero stream as the primary Power stream?

You will have the same power source for both indoor and outdoor rides and you will have L/R data.
Setup the Tacx Power stream as a Custom data stream and then you can create a plot with both power streams.

For Tier 1 performance verification or higher, indieVelo requires that the smart trainer is the primary power meter.

Also, I have given up on riding outside. My balance is quite poor due to advanced Parkinson’s Disease. Outside, I would be a danger to myself and others.

It doesn’t matter for Intervals. You can define which Power field you want to display by default in the Actions - Settings dialog.
Then create a Custom stream to define the Tacx Power stream if you want to display that too. If you don’t need the Tacx Power in Intervals, you’re done by simply setting the default power stream to the one coming from the Favero’s.

I do not see the power field choice on the Activity Settings pop-up.

I see you are getting your indieVelo activities from Strava. You should connect indieVelo directly to Intervals.icu. You can do this in Profile → Connected Accounts. Tick the “Upload rides” box. You can keep Strava connected. Intervals.icu will de-dup.

Then you will have both power traces.

Ah ha! I deleted all of the indieVelo activities that came in via Strava, and I uploaded all of the originals from the Windows PC where I run indieVelo. Now, I get the L/R balance and the choice of ‘Power Field.’

Thanks!
