hi there, im not sure if this is a bug or simply how the things work.
As i dont have powermeter, i have to use the estimated AVG power calculated by strava.
i noticed that in my activities in ICU, that the ride was registerd but with no load, so the TSS couldnt be calculated.
do we need to have a powermeter in order to get the load into the ICU data or it should get the AVG power estimated by Strava?
thanks
I don’t know much about what Strava sends through to Intervals in that case. If they don’t make it accessible, Intervals can’t get it…
And is it a single number for the whole session? In that case it might be better to use HR load.
yeah, Strava probably estimate the power based on the avg speed and climb, and in the end give only 1 number.
unfortunatly i have no connection to the HR to strava, only if im using zwift, which then send the whole data info.
It’s the second time in less then a week that someone reports that HR can’t be imported from Strava… Did they change something regarding the normal HR stream or is this a specific configuration?
AFAIK Strava always provided the full HR stream.
No, what I meant is my HR monitor is not sending data to strava.i don’t have a Garmin or wahoo, etc device. (Not yet )
My only way to send all the data is by using Swift, which is connected to Strava. However, this will be only for indoor activities
Ah, ok. Thanks for clarifying that.
Most HR straps now can connect in BLE to your phone. Running a workout app on your phone while connected to such a strap, can get you started with minimal investment.
yeah. i already decided to get a wahoo Element and connect it to the HRM. i will then use the HR to define the training zones and see how it goes. i really like to use the powermeter indors so i can now for sure to what limit i can go up hill for exmple without burning to fast. i a ride today (outside) i manage to get by feeling how much i could push on the climb and checking my watch HR to be around my max Zone 3.
a powermeter thou will be a big investment…need to think properly about it…
A HR strap and a good feeling for RPE can get you really far. But it takes time and consciousness to develop a good feeling for RPE.
Refer to the thread about wahoo being a pain, just so you are aware.
what device are you currently using to record your data? AFAIK, the Strava phone app can connect to HRMs (likely only BLE connections and not ANT+ tho)
