Average power for interval to high compared to strava and golden chetaah

HI, I have selected a interval for a climb in Intervals, and the calculation of the average watts seems a little bit off when comparing from strava or golden chetaah, for example:

Intervals: avg power 306 watts
Strava: 286 watts
Golden Chetaah: 287 watts

is this normal? is the same activity file

thanks!

I had a look at this ride of yours: Intervals.icu

The avg power for an interval defaults to excluding zeros (assumed to be drop outs) and that 8m effort had a big zero in the middle (downhill it looks like). You can click “Fields” and choose “Real average power” to get a value with zeros included. I might well change the default to be that. Intervals.icu does support fixing drop-outs so not so much need to remove them.

thanks! David! awesome, I did not know that!!!

That appears to be a per-activity setting. Is there a global settings page for Fields that I’m missing?

It is “per sport” more or less.

I didn’t realize that if I changed the chart setting in an activity that it would affect all activities. I thought the change was local vs global. Cheers

Agreed. I’m starting to get a bit confused about what settings are global and which are local to the activity.
