Allow Comment Before Workout Is Completed

I thought I requested this feature but not seeing it now, so I’m doubting if I put it in. I’d like the ability to comment on a workout BEFORE it’s complete. I often draw attention to things I don’t want missed AND I solicit weekly feedback thru Notes.

Update:

I’m looking for the ability to be able to use comments in a given workout prior to it being done. For instance, if I prescribe a swim, but someone has a question - they can’t post in the comments of that workout to ask. Likewise, I typically put a “workout” or a “note” on athletes schedules on Sunday for them to summarize the week. Again, until something is done, they can’t comment.

There’s the workout desc. Put in inside for the athlete to read?

I appreciate you recommending that, but no, that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m looking for the ability to be able to use comments in a given workout prior to it being done. The additional context is fantastic to really understand the ask.

Updated the original post. I was tight on time when I posted, should have taken more time to explain.

@David is this feature anywhere on the horizon? While small, this is probably the biggest thing that prevents me from converting more of my athletes over.

I would also find this feature extremely valuable.

@David bumping this up again. With the Zwift integration in place this feature is probably the only impediment to me moving more of my athletes to Intervals. I use pre-comment extensively in TrainingPeaks, as do my athletes (e.g. pre-workout questions, etc.). It seems this would be fairly easy to implement, so wanted to make another plea

I’m bumping up this request! In recent weeks I’ve moved 90% of my work with my clients here and this is one of the main things I miss about TrainingPeaks. For cosches it’s definitely a very important tool because:

  • allows you to discuss the reasons for not carrying out the training with the client / explain the details of the training before it is carried out
  • create a weekly report and discuss the training week with the client

you can do it in the chat - but doing it for specific days / weeks makes it easier to refer to history when analyzing the implementation of the training process in the long term

Thank you! I agree (obviously). I will also add I’ve put athletes on intervals and they asked to go back to TrainingPeaks because of the absence of this feature. Would be great to hear if it’s on the roadmap anytime soon.
