Aerobic Decoupling During/Across Intervals?

Anyone know of any good resources relating to aerobic decoupling during intervals. For example, this is screenshot of a 5x5min @FTP:

There’s a general decrease of Power:HR across and within intervals. Does this indicate they are stretching for the athlete?

Thanks!

You can’t really use that for short intervals. You’re starting every hard interval with a lower HR because of the rest periods and that skews the number. It takes a couple of minutes for your HR to stabilize.
It’s only valid for longer endurance work.
I tend to compare avg HR and HRmax for each interval to check if I’m improving and if it is time to up the power.

Wondering how short is short! Could it be possible to ‘score’ latency/lag over subsequent, identical sessions to see if HR response is quicker to the onset of load?

For example: Week 1 - going from 150W to 300W, HR takes 90sec to stabilize @ 150 bpm; Week 2 - takes 60sec to stabilize @150 bpm.

Improvements will look more like this: week 1 stabilizes at 150bpm - week 4, stabilizes at 146bpm. Then you could add some watts to up the intensity.
