Adaptive workouts that integrate with intervals.icu calendar

After being self-coached for many years and with a little one on the way, I’m starting to lose some of that ‘self-accountability’ that is needed to map out all of your own training in a structured way. I am keen to try a programme that has a dynamic/adaptive plan (i.e. suggesting the best workout to do based on your current state, the training you have done, etc). For example, I know Garmin, TrainerRoad and Xert all do this.

Is there a platform out there that takes this approach, that interfaces with intervals.icu to manage the workouts in your calendar? Or that has it’s own calendar that you can mirror in intervals.icu?

I do most of my structured bike workouts on indieVelo, so having that day’s workout synced with the game helps too.

Thanks in advance

Take a look at Trainer Day.

Pillar APP is another solution.

I also use Pillar App and I too highly recommend it for training. Highly recommend!

Pillar is a great app. I was using it but since training on My Whoosh I’ve had to change to get workouts there. I do highly recommend it. Great plan builder.

As an update I’ve gone back to Xert. I don’t need a plan per se as I manage the majority of my workouts directly in intervals.icu, but have two ‘structured bike workout’ days. One longer, one shorter. I use Xert’s AI workout builder which designs a workout specific to that day, then I then export and drop in to intervals.icu which syncs automatically with indieVelo.

I just went back as well. One of the best apps because it is not the same workouts over and over. Sorry but most use a few workouts that just change intensity. Since I use My Whoosh my sync is Xert>drop in Trainer Day>Training Peaks (free)>My Whoosh. It also comes to Intervals. Most is in the background. Download Xert and copy to Trainer Day and you are done.:v:t3:

As an update from me, I’ve given up on it again.

I have a pretty structured schedule and it’s just too rare that I need xert to suggest a workout for me for it to be worth it.

Hey there. I decided to give it a go with indieVelo, but somehow I cannot see the intervals.icu workouts synchronize with the platform. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a currently a problem with IndieVelo and/or intervals?

Intervals

It’s working fine for me, providing there are intervals. A free ride without interval steps doesn’t show.

Thanks Gerald. I figured it out (well, actually George Gilbert from indieVelo figured it out). I had a filter for Tempo activities. Once I set that to “All intensities” it showed up.
