Activity cropping function

Is there an activity crop function? Quite often after a race there is some time spent recovering that is included in an activity and isn’t necessary to include in the analysis of a race.

Does this have to be done upstream or is there a way to select a specific section of an activity loaded from upstream/strava which can be used for initial analysis?

Cropping activities is on the todo list. This will only work for activities from Garmin Connect and uploaded .fit files. Right now you need to crop the .fit file using some external tool (e.g. https://www.fitfiletools.com/, upload it and delete the activity from Strava/Garmin.

Thanks David. I like how the time slider bar works in the Activity Power section.

This just got done. Look for the crop button under the activity timeline chart. You need to zoom to the part you want to keep first. Strava activities need to be cropped on Strava and then sync’ed to Intervals.icu.

Looks like cropping fails if the activity already has intervals or even a HRRC calculation. The intervals are not updated and you get a “Out of Range” error.
Or is it me doing something wrong? new user…

Ah it’s actually the laps that are “out of range” after the crop. I have just fixed it and will deploy Tues AM (GMT+2). Tx for the report.
