9-Day Training Week?

HI All,

Loving using Intervals. Used TP for years, moved here, and have no regrets.

As an older athlete, I find I need a little more recovery time these days. I am toying with the 9-Day week concept. Same TSS loading, just spread over 9 days instead of the normal 7, giving me some extra recovery after a breakthrough workout (aka Joe Friel).

Wondering if any thought was given to building something like that into the tool. I was thinking each row in the calendar would show 9 days across. The calendar would get kinda messy-looking, but the feature would let the user switch back and forth between the conventional 7-day format and the 9-day format. This would help a great deal when planning a training block.

Thanks again!

I’m also considering doing a 9 day training “week” as well and would welcome a way of being able to manage this easily.

I know this is not a solution to your suggestion, but something that may be useful in your case is creating a chart on the Fitness page using training load (or moving time, or whatever metric you want) and displaying a 9-day moving total.

Just be careful not to confuse this with moving average. It would look something like the screenshot below.

Here, I use something similar to track training volume (wiht moving time). The moving total allows me to get over the weekly cycle and instead visualize training in a continuous way.
