30s power chart

Hey there,

what’s the purpose of this chart? I never disabled it but I never read it  What info can I gain from it?

Thx,
Wou

It’s an easy way to identify an effort if you have interval detection disabled

The original request was to be able to see the number of “matches burnt”, i.e. the duration and number of intervals above threshold. It now can now show all efforts at any power level.

Okay, thanks. What would you read from this chart, regarding the 30s power graph?

3 matches burned/efforts in the second half of the ride.

Maybe a need to re-assess your wBal number or your FTP.

That was yesterdays FTP test. warm-up to the hill, 3 minute hard, then 2 x 8 minutes all out.

3 matches burned/efforts in the second half of the ride.

3 out of how many?

Maybe a need to re-assess your wBal number or your FTP.

That’s what I did. It was my 1st FTP test this season, FTP/W’ was on 235/16K - now set to 250/18K
First time 2 x 8min FTP test… 286+282/2*0,9 = 255

Only you can figure that out  What is a match? - Shop Peaks Coaching Group

Seriously - do I really need to know? I’m 50 years old, discovered cycling during Corona and stuck with it since… No races, no competitions… My only competitor is my inner pig dog

The number of matches is unlimited but usually there is some shortage of gas needed to light them up all at once😂

So this was a smoldering fire?

On this basis, most likely not - focus on whatever motivates you to keep on cycling :+1:

looks like some fun on the bike without much structure

Viewing the W’ graph, I think there was not much left in the tank :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@MedTechCD right. As I said, I already adjusted FTP and W’

The FTP test showed me a higher FTP. I changed FTP within the activity but still was in negative W’. so i raised W’ till I got a zero at the lowest point. Is that the right way to go?

That’s how it showed up with the old values.

That will get you close enough. Did you reanalyse after the FTP change?

No need, changing numbers immediately affects the values/graphs after a reload.

Not really burning fire. You don’t have much red, purple and black in your graph. So it’s more like simmer.

For the image below, when I look at WKO5’s Match Finder, I have 2 matches at 2xFTP, and the rest are at 1.4xFTP and 1.2xFTP. All the others that show purple peaks are not showing.
